Prompt: Explain how this experience impacted your confidence as a writer and whether you feel prepared to continue analyzing complex speeches and texts in American Literature.

Prompt Response: I feel that I know now how to understand better speeches or text. The rhetorical strategies help understand what the author wants to express and how they do it.  Summary: We did the essay in class on writable. We were able to use the outline paper to follow how to do the essay well. We also had the speech to have in case we needed it.  Reflection: I used the outline paper that shows in the order the essay has to go. It helped show how to properly write a rhetorical essay and do it easily. It also had the outline for the thesis statement which is what we needed for the beginning of the essay.

Prompt: If you had to describe how you show love using only three objects (for example: a playlist, a hoodie, a late-night snack, a long text message, etc.), what would you choose and why?

Prompt Response: A hand made item is one object that I would choose because you took the time to actually make it instead of buying it. It has more meaning to know they made it with care. A long message is another one I would say because you are saying your feelings and your thoughts with the person. Words have a big way of expressing someone's love for someone. Lastly, I would say spending their time with each other. Doing that would show that no matter what you could be doing you would rather spend time with that person. It shows that you care for them and want to be around them.  Summary: Today we wrote a poem for our parents. We did it on a paper that had a heart where you write inside the poem.  Reflection: Doing the poem shows one of the three objects I said above. A long message or any message with words is a good way to express your emotions. The poem helped say those feelings to your parents.
